Maryana Viguiliouk is the founder and principal of Viguiliouk Law. Maryana's practice focuses on helping and guiding young families with their legal needs throughout different stages of their lives. Being a proud Canadian-Ukrainian, Maryana can assist many individuals who come from Ukraine and might need an advocate who speaks their language. Helping new and aspiring Canadians is among the most rewarding work Maryana does. She believes that lawyers are in an incredible position to help members of their community advocate for positive change.
When advocating for her clients, Maryana always goes above and beyond what is expected of a dedicated advocate. This allows Maryana to establish a special trust and connection with her clients. She is also a firm believer in empowering through education. Maryana builds her practice on the principle of educating her clients about their rights and responsibilities and always works collaboratively with every client in achieving their goals. Outside of her legal practice, Maryana dedicates her time, efforts, and legal expertise towards community development and outreach. She practices in a variety of community initiatives ranging from public legal education sessions to working with individuals and communities facing multiple barriers.

Experience.
Maryana is a licensed member of the Law Society of Ontario. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in June of 2016. Maryana graduated from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, Common Law Section in June of 2015. Prior to that, she received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from York University with a specialization in Political Science. After earning her law degree, Maryana worked for a boutique litigation law firm in Mississauga, Ontario where she gained valuable advocacy experience. This experience combined with her passion and commitment to social justice inspired Maryana to open and run her own practice.
Maryana is also actively involved in the legal community. She served as the executive member of the Ontario Bar Association Immigration Law Section between 2018 and 2022. As part of this role, she was involved with different subcommittees that worked closely with numerous representatives from the Canadian Government to advocate for more equitable changes to the Canadian immigration system.
